All the girls stomp your feet like this.

Birdie wanted a full on photo shoot for her special Daddy-Daughter Dance Day.
Here you go, "Holla Batgirl."
Before, with a little mascara and blush. Gorgeous.

If you can't tell, she's really into not smiling right now.

Since (in real life and not just in her head) she's not 18 and posing for Vogue, I asked her to humor me with at least one sweet, little girl smile.

Here's the official photo taken at the dance. The rumor is, these two tore up the dance floor. I have no doubt.

Teach me, little one.

Winston, how do you do that eyebrow trick?

We'll see you on the beach.

I plan to be at the beach every possible second this summer.
Yes, you're right! I should start a kickstarter campaign to raise money for a beach house....

whole foodies

Whew. It has been a rooooough week. Nothing a little dinner at Whole Foods can't fix.
PS, Life lesson: never, ever forget to take your ninja sword with you.

keep hope alive

Hang in there, peeps. I'm slowly digging my way through the fog of work. Winston is still at home with me all day, so I don't usually start my business work until 8pm (it's 12:44am right now). As you can imagine, I'm one pooped out little lady. I fully plan to get back into posting regularly. If nothing else, I need it for my memory's sake. Winston was pretty bummed recently when I could remember Birdie's first and second words, and I could only remember his first. I searched the blog and--ta da!--found his first FOUR words. He gave Birdie a--Mm, hmm. Beat that.--look.

What have we been up to?
Frogs. Friends. Getting ready for kinder.
Stay tuned for Winston-heavy posts to come. I feel the pre-kinder tears welling up now....
Whew. It's a good thing I have the summer first, so I can get good and sick of him before I have to send him off. :)

shake and easy bake

Both of my kids love to cook. I'm thinking the goal should be to get them old enough to be safe in the kitchen and then put my feet up and let them feed me until they move out.
