I like the life I live.

This most recent trip to Galveston was pretty stinkin' fun and full of firsts.

nice day for a repeat wedding

So, you know how on tv and movies sometimes they'll talk about girls who have always dreamed about their weddings? Well, it turns out that sometimes that really happens in real life. Who knew?
At this current moment in time, Birdie is interested in her daddy's and my wedding especially.

The other day she asked: When was the first time you saw Daddy? I mean, like, the very first time you ever saw him with your two eyeballs?

She's super bummed out that she didn't get to go to our wedding. She asked me last week if we could take pictures on the beach with me in my wedding dress (she loves it when I put it on; she sleeps with it under her bed, so she sees it a lot) and her in her flower girl dress (she got it for the daddy/daughter dance last year). She wants to hang a picture up of the two of us in her room.

How do you say no to that? So, as you do, I packed up two wedding dresses and drove them to the beach.
M: How do you want to wear your hair?
B: Like you did on your wedding day.
M: How do you want me to wear my hair?
B: Like you did on your wedding day. And make sure you wear your wedding ring.

I think the main reason she likes taking pictures is because I usually let her wear a little blush and mascara. Here she is dressed up and ready to go:

My second shooter-in-training (aka Daddy Bear) took all of these lovely pics for me.

And this is why I always shoot at sunset. Everyone looks so rosy and cozy.

Ok, ok. It was a little fun feeling like Cinderella and having everyone on the beach excited for us. Or, they were wondering, what does that 37-and-a-half-year-old think she's doing?

I'm thinking about posting this as a blog post on my andreabacleweddings.com page, because who doesn't want beach pics in a wedding dress with her best gal?? Also, I need to let everyone know that I have a fantastic second shooter now. :)

Edited to add this pullback shot of reality. David is learning how to use my camera and wanted to make sure I had the settings how I wanted, poor Birdie was in the middle-ish/end of a stomach bug (again, HER idea to take pics), and poor, cold Winston only goes to the beach to get some hot tub time. What a groovy family we have.
