What a super fun and busy summer this has been! Before I know it, the school year will be here, so I need to catch you up on what we've been doing, since we're halfway through it already. I got a new phone in May, so I went back and pulled all my May photos off the old phone (which is really my way of saying...Ack! I can't stand the poor quality of the cell phone pictures, since this is what I do for a living, but that's what I had to capture the moment and sometimes you get what you get--and don't throw a fit.).
Our bad news for May was that Birdie hurt her arm pretty bad. She was at a sleepover at a friend's and fell off of the counter. Bummer. It took all of May and June to finally heal.
We had a ton of hummingbirds in our backyard at the beginning of May. But, once the month of rain came, they never came back.
Winston is sick of taking pictures for me.
What do you do when you're waiting for Big Sister to come home? Selfies on the front porch, of course.
This was our last school lunch with our girl. Going to see her at lunch was the best part of the school year.
The best part about living in Houston is that the pool season is practically year-round. Winston and I got to go all the time.
Bike riding in the 'hood. Lots of water breaks for this boy.
For Mother's Day, I had a shoot in Houston, so David got a hotel room for me to work in peace and quiet. Coincidentally, it was right next to the Galleria--Happy Mother's Day to me. This was the selfie my kids asked for to prove I was working (and this is why Birdie always wears pretend glasses).
I finally finished painting my kitchen cabinets in May. Woohoo!! I'll follow up with another post of before/during/after pics.
One of my all time favorite places to go is Old Town Spring. Winston loves to play on this train.
This dude loves a hat.
To celebrate Birdie's end of her first year of school, we had a mommy-daughter date and had high tea in Old Town Spring. I think this will definitely have to become an annual event.
Wahoo! We have our Bird back. We have been doing so many fun things. This is Pizza Planet up in Conroe.
If I can ever catch up on business, I'll post our June pictures. I hope you're having as much fun as we are!
