When Winston goes down for his nap every day, Birdie and I have a little craft time. We recently made a spider out of pipe cleaners, and Birdie named her "Chimpanzee." We thought she needed a little feather in her hat to make her look a little less scary. :)

big red
Our mom's group had a little field trip to our local fire department recently, and we had the full tour.
A ballgown is appropriate for putting out fires, right?
Winston is in a bit of a clingy phase, and even a big red truck wasn't enough to tolerate Momma being a few feet away.
Sweet besties. :)

3 is the magic number
Oh, our darling Birdie. I can't believe you are 3 already. We love you to the moon and back, sweet girl.

the beauty and the beach
I sure love her ringlets.
The princess didn't want her feet to touch the seaweed. Eh, I can't really say I blame her.

life's a beach
These are from a recent trip to Surfside Beach. It was smelly, hot, and the seaweed was pretty terrible, so the kids weren't very excited to play. We put Winston down on the sand, he did a quick survey of his situation and looked up at us and said, "all done, all done."
Even some sugar from Aunt Stacy wasn't cheering him up.
Ah, snacks to the rescue.
He attempted to play for a few minutes.
Nope. Ready to go.
My two guys are pretty good sports to tolerate the beach for me.

San Antonio Rose
We recently went to San Antonio to visit our wonderful friends, The Fortenberry Family. The sweet momma of the group is also a photographer! We did a little bartering and decided we both needed new family photos, and she did a wonderful job for us. I love all of them, but here are a few of my favorites.
Miss Priss was about 47 days overdue for a nap, so she was a tad cranky.
Winston, however, is always in the mood to give out some sugar!
I love this one. My little man is big. Side note: he had his 15-month check-up today. 94th percentile for height and 71st for weight. Big boy!
Alyssa was kind enough to take some action shots of me taking pictures (for my photography blog), and this little dude came outside to pose with me while sister finally napped. Love this cutie pie.
Check out Alyssa's website at adfphotography.com or "like" her on Facebook for more info if you need a San Antonio-based photographer. You'll love her!

our little Riverwalk
Here are the last few from the last time we went to The Waterway, and I was actually able to take pictures--only possible when the adults outnumber the children. It's always harder to get good shots after the sun is down, but these turned out nice. I love it down there. It's like our own mini-San Antonio Riverwalk, minus 1 million people.

"come on and sail the waterway"
We had just finished a big dinner and decided to walk it off at The Waterway. I sure love living here.
The princess finally found her tower. It's going to be quite a wait before we let Prince Charming rescue you, my dear.

"Sister, I hear you laugh"
We were talking about our family members the other day, and Birdie was sad because she won't have a sister. She sighed and said, "Because Winston's our last baby."
Then she got excited and said, "Maybe Kate [her best friend] can be my sister!"
Here's some of my cutie pie sister:
