I'm her Scarecrow

Birdie will often ask me, "Will you talk about my family?" This means she wants me to list all of our family members and how they are related and where they live and the names of their pets, etc. So the other day after we listed everyone, including a long list of her friends and their moms and the special toys they have at their houses, she looked at me and said, "But I love you most of all. You look like a princess to me."
Seriously. Melt my heart.
Alright, fine. Just for that, I forgive you for giving me gray hair.

rain, rain, come today

"Rain, rain, come today. Rain on daddy's plants all day!" This is what Birdie sings when she and Daddy water all of his plants every afternoon. Here are several pics of his flowering fruit trees. In three years, get ready, because you'll have some fruit baskets headed your way!

ballerina girl

I often wonder what Birdie will be into as she gets older. Soccer player? She does run everywhere. Seriously, this kid never walks anywhere.
Artist? She sure loves to do some arts and crafts.
Princessing? Is that a thing? If so, she'll definitely do it.
Maybe she'll want to do ballet. She loves the outfits, that's for sure. A few of her little gal pals do ballet and she always asks to wear their costumes. Well, whatever it is, she will definitely be cute.

Old MacDonald had a farm....

Here are some pics from our latest trip to the petting zoo. I love that W is finally old enough to enjoy it more.

Why do babies like to sit in dishwashers?

I thought it would be cute to put a few pics side by side to see these two at the same ages. Love these two.

November 10

These are pictures from last November from us just hanging around the house that I found recently.
These are the looks I get when I ask my children if they'll let me take their pictures.

Classic.

the lost files

I just found a few pictures I didn't realize I had on an old memory stick. These are from last Halloween.

I was so excited to make Birdie a costume, so I made her a new princess dress from my old prom dress.
We talked it up for weeks. Daddy came home from work early. I got Winston down for the night.
And, of course, Birdie wasn't in the mood for wearing her new costume (did I mention I cut up my old prom dress to make her costume?) or trick-or-treating (do you know that her breakfast request every morning, without fail, no matter how many times she gets turned down, is candy?).
So, she settled for passing out candy at the front door. That is, until our neighbor came over and scared her with a mask, and she high-tailed it to the couch for the rest of the night. Oh, well. Try again next year.
