toy story

Our sweet friend Susan gave Winston this activity mat, and he loves it. I'd love to know what he's thinking here.
How sweet is this? Birdie wanted to make sure "momma baby" had a turn. That's her name.

Then Birdie had to check things out for herself.

Winston loves the jumper. I've already had to raise it up one level, because he's so tall. I love how he's so happy and smiley all the time.

If you haven't heard, Grandma, Birdie, Winston, and I went to Hawaii for a week to see Aunt Jen. We had a blast, and I have tons of cute pics to post: sand castles, leis, mountains, hula dances, beach, beach, and more beach! Here's one of the two Hawaiian girls. I'll post more soon.

no shoes, no shirt, no service

So, I know that my babies are often topless in these pictures. I think Winston was in the middle of a wardrobe malfunction in this first one. Birdie likes to be in the buff when she uses the potty, so she often ends up in undies only by the afternoon. When she puts on a dress, she'll spin around and tell me she's a princess. So the other day I asked her if she was going to put any clothes back on and she said, "No, momma. I a nude-y princess."

Dream the impossible dream.

After nearly two years of take-years-off-your-life sleep deprivation, I never thought this would be a possiblity in my life:

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We are in the midde of a very busy summer--work, play dates, visitors, potty training (she did it!), learning to roll over (he did it!), house projects, and raising babies. Here are a few pics to keep you at bay for a few days!

My little bird has left the nest.

Well, not my Bird, but our little birds in the front yard are all grown up. After only a week from when we first spotted them, they were up and out. Goodbye sweet birds. Make your momma proud.
