Birdie is just starting to get into the phase where she'll mimic what we do. This morning she started making "razzberries," and she'll keep doing it if we do it back to her. Pretty cute!

new trick

She's been chewing on everything she can get her hands on for some time now, but I thought this was too cute.

Here's the trick she learned yesterday.

weekend wedding

Birdie has now been on 3 big trips and has 11 flights under her belt, including one emergency landing which had us sitting on the tarmac for an hour. We went to Jennifer and Rick's wedding this weekend in Baltimore and had a blast.

Katherine, Jennifer, Dana, and Momma Bacle (We missed you, KK!)

Birdie's first babysitter! Aunt Jen and Uncle Leo were kind enough to babysit, so David and I could both go to the wedding and reception. Birdie did great, and I was even able to relax being away from her.
Our very first post-pregnancy date.

Look at this beautiful bride.

Here we are at the brunch the next morning showing Birdie off to the girls.

Smelling the beautiful roses on the way to the brunch.

Are these two the cutest, or what?

LA pics

Here are just a few quick pictures from our trip. Birdie met so many family members and several of our friends who still live in Louisiana. Check the link on the right for the other new pics.

She has learned several new tricks since I've last posted. She can roll from back to tummy in both directions, grab both feet with both hands, put her feet in her mouth, and (my favorite) she giggles when I kiss her belly!

Visiting sweet Aunt B at Grant's football game.
This is my favorite picture from the trip. My favorite boys.
Grandma and Birdie. Doesn't my mom look especially pretty?
I think she's in love with this baby. Aunt Stacy can made Birdie smile and laugh more than anyone else. I'm totally jealous.Happy to be home with Daddy.

catching up

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Birdie and I went to Louisiana for a week and a half.

Birdie's new favorite activity is to jump in her bouncy chair. Here are a few pics. I'm working on a better video, but I thought these dangling feet were too cute.

park pictures

It was probably the last warm day of the year on Saturday, so we spent the day in the park for a picnic with another couple we are friends with. They have a sweet 4-month-old girl who loved staring at Birdie, but Birdie has been in a weird phase with strangers this week. She used to smile back at everyone who smiled at her, but this week, she's actually started crying a little when she sees new people. I hope she gets out of this phase quickly; we are going to Louisiana for a visit soon, and she needs to be on!

I love how sweet she looks curled up in David's hand.

She just woke up from a nap--not quite ready for smiles yet.
