Hey! With the exception that I have to wear maternity pants every day now, we don't have any significant updates with the baby.
The teachers at school all know, but for my students, the senior class guessed that I'm pregnant after they asked about me working there next year. They were all very excited and decided that they wanted it to be a secret that only they know, so they all made everyone promise not to tell any other class. (There are only 6 or 7 in each of the four groups.) So, all the younger classes have been giving me a hard time about "getting fat," but they still haven't figured it out.
Unfortunately, because we've had 9 snow days at my school already this winter, we now have to work through our February break. So, no big vacation for us. We will most likely do a few weekend trips within driving distance instead.
That's about it. Have a great week!

Check-up
I had my second OB appointment today, and I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was amazing. My doctor (I LOVE her, by the way) said the baby and I are healthy. I am starting to get a little baby bump and will post a few pics soon.
We have a winter break in February at school, so David and I are busy planning one last hoorah with a big vacation. Hopefully, we can go somewhere warm!

FAQs
Here are some commonly asked questions:
*Boy or girl? Don't know, and we're going to do it the old fashioned way and wait to find out on baby's birthday. No preference either way.
*Due date? July 14
*Names? Still haven't decided, but we're open to suggestions!
*Have I been sick? Not even once! I've been very lucky. I do eat and sleep a lot.
*What about my job? I will try to finish out the school year through June and then be a cool stay-at-home mom.
*How did we tell the family? We went home to Louisiana for Christmas, and I wore a shirt that said, "Jingle bells, jingle bells, baby's on the way." We captured it on video!

Welcome to our blog!
Welcome to our blog. Like most of our friends, we knew it was time to start one, because if you haven't heard, we are expecting Baby Bacle in July! Here is a picture of our ultrasound taken at 11 weeks. He or she was a dancing fool down there and put on quite a show for us. It was the most amazing experience of our lives, and we feel extremely blessed.
I will try to update this blog at least once a week with baby and belly updates. Happy 2009!
